preventing hypothermia by putting a hat on a newborn immediately after birth. However, hats are frequently not available. That's why we're asking for ACNM members and supporters to send hats to the national office for our Beanies for Babies campaign. These hats are taken by global outreach staff to the many countries where they work. Donate your knitted or crotched hats today.
Beanies for Babies Success
ACNM has received more than 3000 “beanies” for our Beanies for Babies campaign to warm the heads of newborns in developing countries. Our hearts have been warmed, as will many newborns, by the generous and loving response to Beanies for Babies. This campaign is ongoing as the need is ongoing.

Annie Clark, CNM, senior technical advisor for the ACNM Department of Global Outreach, sits among the hundreds of donated baby hats. Clark and the other Department of Global Outreach staff and consultants donate these hats during LSS and HBLSS trainings in the developing world.

Thanks to the donation of knit caps from Lulle and Endel Pappel of Baltimore, Md. these Ethiopian twins (left) are staying warm. Annie Clark, CNM brought the caps on her recent trip to Ethiopia to conduct Emergency Obestric and Newborn Care Training for the ACCESS Program.
