Occasionally, ACNM Staff hear about professional development opportunities for midwives.

• National Women's Law Center 2010 Progressive Leadership Advocacy Network

The National Women's Law Center (NWLC) is now accepting applications for the 2010 Progressive Leadership Advocacy Network.  Each year, 20 emerging policy and advocacy leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to working in a professional capacity to improve the lives of low-income women are selected, on a competitive basis, to attend the PLAN Spring Institute.  The 2010 Spring Institute will be held from 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 5 to 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 8, at the Mt. Washington Conference Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Application deadline: February 8, 2010.  Learn more. (posted 1/7/10)
