Continuing Competency Assessment - CCARecognizing Professional Commitment to MidwiferyEstablished February 1986, the CCA Program is a voluntary comprehensive recognition program developed to provide Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) and Certified Midwives (CMs) with an opportunity to demonstrate competency in the provision of health care to women, newborns and their families. *Please note: After 2010, CCA will no longer be available. Effective January 1, 2011 all CNMs/CMs will have time limited certificates and be enrolled in the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) Certificate Maintenance Program (CMP).
